The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word "Yuj" meaning to yoke, join or unite. This refers to integrating all aspects of the individual. Yoga unites body with mind and mind with soul to achieve a happier more balanced and useful life. Yoga's expression as spiritual, unites the individual with the supreme. Currently close to 11 million Americans are enjoying its benefits, yoga is hardly a trend. 

In yoga classes we teach you how to move your body in new ways. At Darla's Yoga Garden these movements, “postures” are performed in a hot room. The Hot Room method of yoga was designed to replicate the conditions of yoga’s birthplace- India. Through controlled humidity and temperatures pushing 100 Fahrenheit; the heat reshapes muscles, heals and prevents injuries reverses aging, increases strength and a sense of ease and fluidity throughout your body.  Along with yoga’s other gifts  the heat offers immediate flexibility, increased fat burning and weight loss. 

No matter your level of yoga, you will see benefits in a very short period of time. Nearly all poses build core strength in the deep abdominal muscles, this can be transformational for the lower back.  Another benefit of yoga is increased body awareness, heightened awareness makes you more comfortable "in your skin" and boosts self-esteem. Yoga also builds upper-body strength which is crucial to anti-aging, while standing poses build strength in your hamstrings, quadriceps and keep the hips young. With vastly improved overall wellness- you will soon understand what we mean when we say "it's miraculous"! 




Darla’s Yoga Garden is a private boutique yoga studio.  Our facilities have been designed with your total experience in mind. Our small personal hot room style classes are available by reservation only.  Your teacher, Darla Magee, E-RYT 500, holds certifications by Ana Forrest, Bikram Choudhry and Jimmy Barkan; world renowned teachers of yoga in the heat. These, along with her vast experience teaching and practicing in this  specialized environment ensure your safe and enjoyable experience.

 

EVERYONE is required to reserve their spot.  Our classes are small and
drop-ins cannot be accommodated.

New students, those who have never been taught by Darla please e-mail for availability. New registrants will be contacted and advised of available classes within 24 hours.

Class Key:
R- (regulars) class is for previous students only. If this is your first time to THIS studio- this is not the class for you.

S-(silent) This class is for advanced students only. There is no verbal instruction, music will be played and the instructor will also practice with the class.

N- (new) This class is for everyone. However these are the only classes where first timers to Darla’s studio will be in attendance.

A wait list is available for all classes. You will not be required to pay for class until you are confirmed to attend.
